Appointments are necessary for consultations at the Oaks Medical Centre. Both urgent and non-urgent appointments can be made in person or by telephoning (01482) 354251. You can also book online but you will need to register for this with our reception staff.
We have a mixture of pre-bookable and 'book on the day' appointments. You need to call us after 8.00am in the morning to arrange a 'book on the day' appointment. Please avoid Mondays when at all possible as this is our busiest day. If your visit is of a routine nature then our less busy days are Wednesdays and Thursdays.
If you don't need an appointment immediately, you have the option to book up to four weeks in advance.
If you attend late for your appointment you will be advised that it may not be possible for you to be seen or you may be seen only after a considerable wait.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know, giving as much notice as possible so it can be offered to another patient.
Extra routine appointments are now available at evenings and weekends click here for more information

Extended Access
With immediate effect, the Practice can now offer a limited amount of pre-bookable GP, Nurse and Nurse Practitioner appointments via Telephone triage or face to face on a Saturday and Sunday to our patients. The appointments will be held at, either Bransholme Health Centre or Elliot Chappel, Hessle Road. The Clinician that you see will not be from The Oaks Medical Centre but will have full access to your medical records.
Appointments can only be made through us therefore if you would like an appointment on a Saturday morning please speak to our Reception Team who will arrange this for you.
Practice Policy Regarding DNAs (Did Not Attends)
Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery, it has become necessary to implement the following policy:
If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments you may be removed from this practice list and will have to find an alternative doctor.
If you cannot attend your appointments for any reason please let us know as soon as possible. We can then offer the appointment to someone else.
Thank you for your co-operation.
